Our class have been working very hard on their Titanic-themed homework. We have had homemade ships, jewellery, menus, and lots more. Well done Year 1/2!
We all thoroughly enjoyed a visit from the dental nurse (Dental box) who talked to us about healthy eating and the importance of keeping our teeth clean and healthy. We enjoyed dressing up and pretending to be dentists!
We enjoy learning in a variety of ways. We did some measuring and counting using both practical and written methods.
Year 1/2 have been enjoying answering the question, 'Where do and did the wheels on the bus go?' as part of their Geography and History work. A great deal of the work centred on the text, 'The Naughty Bus'. Children were also treated to visits from a Gulf War Ambulance, a tanker and truck and a 1970s VW Campervan. These visits sparked lots of creative writing both fiction and non fiction. Pupils continued the theme of vehicles in their science work - looking at forces and movement and the speed of how vehicles move. In Design Technology, they designed and made their own vehicles before testing them outside!
We enjoyed looking at a tanker, Gulf War ambulance and VW 1970s Campervan.
