CountryFile Ramble

Sunday 15th October 2017

On Sunday 15th October, Manifold Church of England Academy’s School Council arranged for school pupils and their families to meet at school and take part in the Countryfile Ramble for Children in Need. They were blessed with a morning of sunshine as they walked a route plotted by Catering Assistant, Miss Lipp. This took them around the edges of the school grounds, enabling all to enjoy the views over the Peak District whilst having a chatter and catch up away from the classroom. It was muddy, there were hills and stiles and more mud but all managed to complete the route, even the youngest participant at the tiny age of just five weeks! Once back at school, everyone was treated to some much-needed tea and cake and Jack Gliddon, member of the School Council, was delighted to announce that £265.23 had been raised for the charity.
